Nepal Awaits You

The government controls what trekking routes are open to the public. At this time nearly all routes used prior to the earthquake of April 2015 are open and safe to use.

Itineraries

Poon Hill Itinerary:
Day 1) drive from pokhara to Nayapul (1 hour) and begin trek at Nayapul. The trail follows the main street of Berethanti going through bamboo forests and passing a large water fall and swiming hole. The trail stays on the northen bank of the Bhurungdi khola to the village of Baajgara. You will reach Hille at 1495 m, there are several lodges where you can stay over night. Lunch will be on the way with dinner and accommodation in Hille. Day two breakfast will be at Hille.
Day 2) trek to Ghorepani (2775m) from Hille which takes about 5-6 hours. You'll stay over night there. The trail is climbs steeply on a stone stairway and the climb continues through Magar village. At Ulleri (2070m) two snowcapped mountains become visible, Annapurna south (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). Crossing Banthanti (2250m) and Nangethanti (2460m) we will reach Ghorepani at 2775m/ Lunch will be on the way with dinner and accommodation and breakfast the next day all in Ghorepani.
Day 3 ) visit Poon Hill (3210m) an hour's climb from Ghorepani with spectular views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna 1, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail. Following sunrise trek to Tadapani about 4-5 hour's and mostly downhill through rhorodendon forests, ending in Tadapani ( 2656m). Lunch will be on the way with dinner and accommodation and Day 4 breakfast at Tadapani.
Day 4) trek to Ghandruk, large Gurung village, at 1970m. This is the second largest Gurung settlement in Nepal (the largest is Siklis) about 3.30 hour's walk and visit the village. Lunch, dinner and accommodation and Day 5 breakfast will be Ghandruk
Day 5) after breakfast leave hotel from Ghandruk and trek to Birethanti. This is mostly flat and will take about 4-5 hours. Lunch will be there and after lunch about 40 minutes of walking will put you in Nayapul. The drive to Pokhara from there will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
